Overall I really enjoyed this whole process of learning different skills in photography and even just learning the basics I really enjoyable because now I feel confident enough to do a makeup look and know I can take an image of it without my photography skills letting it down because if you take the image from a angle which isn’t flattering it ruins the makeup because your not taking it right. I am extremely happy with my final outcomes because I think I managed to achieve the style and mood I wanted for my images by using the right lighting and postproduction correctly.

I think the thing I struggled with most in setting up on my own in the studio because when your in class Chris was there to ask for help if you got something simple wrong but made a big difference. I think I struggled with this the most because in the shoot I seemed to waste a lot of time setting up and trying to get the perfect lighting ect.

Next time I will defiantly ask a lot more questions in class and make sure I note them all down because I think if I had the notes from class I would have been more confident setting up because I could go back to them and remember what Chris said in the lesson.

The parts that helped me a lot was the planning of the shoot, I think if I didn’t plan my shoots as well as I did I would have struggled with ideas while shooting but I made sure I always had ideas of different poses for my model and also what type of style I was going for, making the magazine mood board that I did really helped me reflect back on while in the shoot to make sure I wasn’t going off track and focused on my initial idea.

Over all I was extremely happy with my final outcomes, I am a lot more confident with using a camera in the correct way and how to create the perfect beauty image.
